Health and Strength in Community XI: Purple Reign

My siblings in Christ:

Beginning today, according to just-announced State of California rules, purple reigns in all six Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles counties — Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. That means either digitally present or outdoor in-person worship. Indoor spaces in our church buildings may only be used for live-streaming according to diocesan guidelines.

Check the details on the tier system here. The diocese's COVID FAQ page is here.

Bishop Bruce, Canon McCarthy, and I pray daily for all our members and their families and neighbors and for our mission and parish leadership teams, who make such wise decisions about how our congregations will worship while putting safety first and keeping tombs empty. Don't hesitate to reach out to us or your dean with questions.

Yours in Christ's love,

The Rt. Rev. John Harvey Taylor

VII Bishop of Los Angeles
